Kirk Penney to the NBA??

Despite our boy Kirk Penney showing he was in fact human this weekend (averaging just 7 points in their 2 games) I came across this post below on the NBL website about how he is ready for the NBA ... again. I am a MASSIVE fan of Penney but think its a little too early to be calling for his return to the big show. Click on the title below to read the rest of the story.

Penney should be in the NBA
By Joel Tiller, Sportal

First CJ Bruton confirmed it, then Brian Goorjian said it was realistic, but perhaps not wise, and (wistfully) Conner Henry said he wished it was true: 'Kirk Penney should be playing in the NBA'.

The New Zealand Breakers shooting guard has been scorching form in his second NBL season.

Arguably the most important cog in the NBL table-topping team no one can argue with his stats, and status, as the leading point scorer in the league (for the last month). He averages a league high 24 points per game, just point two below his scoring average for the whole season last year.

The NBL's third highest three point shooter last season he's currently twelfth for three point shooting percentages (39 per cent, 48/123) and is the second most deadly free throw marksman in the league with his 85.1 per cent (74/87) placing him just behind teammate Bruton (90.7 per cent). Just for good measure he's not selfish either, throwing 3.1 assists per game at 19th in the league.
