Its his birthday today so our feature Geelong Supercats legend is Shane "The Hammer" Heal.
After
his rookie season Shane Heal left the
Brisbane
Bullets and signed with the Geelong Supercats. A move that shocked many around
the league as
Geelong
was coming off the worst season in NBL history. But Heal saw this as a
challenge and although he struggled in ’89 during his first season with
them, his break out season came the year after.
Shane’s best year for the
Supercats was his last in ’91 when he averaged 23.4 points, 7.8 assists, 1.4
steals, 4.2 triples and shot over 46% from the field.
